A young couple was looking to remodel their kitchen/dining area; however, instead of a full style change they wanted to keep it in a 60’s style. The kitchen cabinets were falling apart, no countertop next to the range, and extremely limited storage. Alongside that, some layout changes were to make it more user-friendly. After some deliberation, our amazing design team led by Polina Perju decided to keep the soffit above the upper cabinets to stay within the style and era of the house, the fridge location was changed to increase the countertop area next to the range. A cabinet was added on the back wall to create more storage, as well as a coffee station era. It was a pleasure to work with clients who were bold enough to use bright colors and natural terrazzo tile.
Alongside that, they were looking to redo their minuscule downstairs bathroom (it wasn’t even possible to open the door fully to enter). A larger shower and vanity were added, as well as an increase in lighting, and changing the style to match the kitchen’s 60’s style.
