Gresham Transitional Kitchen Remodel

Before

We had a couple from Gresham, Oregon come in and choose to remodel their kitchen with us. They wanted to update existing surfaces, and keep the existing layout. Their cabinet boxes were still good, but they didn’t love the natural oak color. Their old tile and laminate countertops were going to have to go as well.

We picked out paint and countertop colors that would complement each other and work well with the existing floors. Why replace a good hardwood floor when you don’t have to?

A second layer of upper cabinets gives the kitchen a lot more storage space with zero layout changes.
Azul Aran quartz by Pental Surfaces. The blend of white and gray make for an accent that is both harmonious and contrasting.
Painting over oak will always be difficult. The wood grain will usually always be visible. Replacing the doors and painting the boxes is much more cost effective than getting all new cabinets.

A beautiful harmony between the light brown flooring, white cabinets, and gray walls and countertop.
The perfect spot for an evening drink.
